Pulp Fiction Book Store The '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' Project 1

Back in July we announced that we would produce an ebook of the Jules Verne classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea from an edition with over 100 plates like the samples you see here.

20000Leagues 491x750 The 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Project

We are reproducing the 1873 edition of James R. Osgood and Co. with all 111 illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou.

We have rethought this one after we realized what a huge project it would become. What we’re going to do is release this as a trade paperback first (our 1st printed book!) and then produce the ebook. We need to figure out the best ways to reduce the memory requirements of the resulting ebook files so they don’t choke your phones and tablets.

Long story short: it’s still in the works, just not imminent.

Mr. Pulp

About the author: Born a long time ago, I developed a love for Pulp Fiction as a young whipper-snapper. Whether it was riding rocket ships to Mars or tracking down the cruelest of killers, I always rooted for the hero to get the girl in the end. I found that a lot of my favorite pulp fiction stories, mysteries, sci-fi and adventure had gone out of print and also into the public domain, so like any bright young enterprising lover of cattle rustlers, robot armies and insidious villains, I decided to make the universe safe for my pulp fiction heroes of yore and republish them. I have since opened up the PulpFictionBook.Store to bring some of my old friends back to light.
